Work & Productivity by Design (WPD) is a LIVE interactive programme designed to work on mindset, work rhythms, work patterns, boundaries and priorities. The whole programme is built on the use of self-awareness and energy management turned into practical applications.

Embrace the full potential of remote work or self-employment

Being your own boss or working remotely looks like a dream, at least in theory, or on social media. You have the possibility to decide when and how you work, you can work from various exotic places, you have greater opportunities to balance your personal and professional life...

Though, every day life is quite different. You have to create dynamism, find motivation within, face highs and lows, set your priorities, manage your personal organisation... Out of a will to produce results (and income), most remote workers and entrepreneurs I have seen around the world keep on applying the same patterns, allowing little flexibility, creativity and/or awareness in the way they are working.

In this programme you will learn how to understand your inner and outer energy patterns, and create accordingly a conscious and resilient work life.

This program is about creating your own work flows and patterns, balancing flexibility and frame, taking time for big picture. It also addresses how to set  your own rules and healthy boundaries as well as priorities with your clients, coworkers or boss. The detailed programme is at the bottom of the page.

With a more conscious and pro-active approach to your work and work patterns, productivity becomes a natural side-effect rather than and end-goal. It is not about how many hours you work, it is about the quality and added value of your working times and tasks.

This programme is a 465 euros investment

Who is the facilitator?

Helene Schmit is a work-life designer and a happiness at work activist who helps people to design and live a fulfilling and balanced work life, at individual and team level, through coaching, training and public speaking. She bases her work on self-awareness and energy management, and then unfolds an empowering process to explore and design new ways of working and being. More human-centered, more conscious, more flexible, and deliciously productive.

She created Exploring Happy after quitting a very successful though unfulfilling corporate career. She worked within the UN as a lobbyist and strategist, as well as a program manager on major urban development projects in Geneva area. You can see more details on her linked-in profile. She's seen all the possible spectrum of work patterns, structures, behaviors, rules, pains... both in corporate and coworking lifes, and tapped into that experience and trainings she received to create the products that allow people to empower themselves and grow as a person. 

Helene developed her whole concept from Bali, the Island of Gods, immersed in a community of game-changer travelling entrepreneurs during almost 1,5 year overall. She's been living a semi-nomadic life for the past 3 years, choosing slow travel as a way of balancing both her needs for belonging and stimulation. A whole new world and philosophy opened to her and had a major influence on her products and approach.  She's now a coworking advocate and gives conferences to spread the good word.

Helene is also a former streetluge world champion and several times french champion, and achieved also consistent results in world cups in open-category. Her racing philosophy as top-level rider completely aligns with vision of empowerment through self-awareness that she promotes in her work. Discover the pechakucha talk she gave on this topic.

Helene is a TEDx speaker, a returning speaker at Freedom Summit and Agility by Design conference, a returning guest facilitator on the program Women In Transition in Bali and Poland, an "in-house" coach for remote workers on Remote Work Hub platform. She has been featured by The Nomad Capitalist, Benomad, as well as twice by Happy Melly.

She has co-authored a book called Freedom by Design, on entrepreneur and location independent lifestyle, alongside with Casey Fenton, co-founder of couchsurfing, as well as other inspiring entrepreneurs and coaches.

WEEK 1 - SELF AWARENESS & NATURAL RHYTHM

First we will go inwards : in order to design a work life on your own terms, you better know first what your terms are right? And the best way to know these terms is to first understand yourself and how your body functions. In this first session it will all about getting a deeper knowledge of your natural rhythms, energy patterns and your personality.

WEEK 2 - SEEING THROUGH THE ENERGY LENSE

In this second session we will address the external causes that will impact your energy, mood, motivation... Positively and negatively. People, places, situations, and... your tasks! 

These first 2 weeks will give you a clear and complete picture of your current inner and outer games, and provide all the necessary content to design a work life that is more aligned with you.

WEEK 3 - FLOW & FRAME

Now let's design the way you work : when, how, where, what... You will be given the necessary infos and insights about work by design and how to find and maintain your flow. It will all about learning to embrace flexibility  and develop your work environment toolbox.

This flexibility needs to be sustained by a light frame in order to create and maintain momentum. Without a frame, procrastination and avoidance show-up and consume your drive slowly.

WEEK 4 - PRIORITIES, RULES AND BOUNDARIES - part 1

The pet peeve of most self-employed or remote workers... Defining and implementing the right and healthy boundaries, for yourself as much as others.This topic is broken in 2 sessions for an in-depth teaching, mixing practical solution and mindset work-out.

The goal : define and embody your own rules of the games and way of interacting and positioning yourself.

The topics covered in these last 2 sessions : core values, decision making process, rules of the games and boundaries: understanding, definition, communication and implementation, making conscious compromises, setting priorities, job interviews and contracting.
